Summary0000769: Automatic layer renaming sometimes creates havoc
DescriptiongvSIG uses a scheme of the form "name-n" to name layers that have the same "name" base. E.g. if more than one layer called "layer" exists in the TOC, then an automatic renaming will create: "layer-2", "layer-3", etc. if more layers of the same name are added to the TOC. However, this renaming is also triggered when layers are moved to a new position in the TOC or added/removed from a group. This then starts messing around with the "-n" so that instead of "layer-1", "layer-2", one ends up with "layer-3", "layer-4", etc.
